This report presents comparative levels and trends of real gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and per
employed person for 17 countries: The United States, Canada, Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore,
Australia, and eleven European countries. In addition, this report also examines two alternative measures,
gross national income (GNI) per capita and GDP per hour worked. The data have been adjusted for
comparability. This report is available on the Division of International Labor Comparisons Web site at
www.bls.gov/ilc.
