NIOSH-(National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health)

The Electronic Library of Construction Safety and Health (eLCOSH External Link: http://www.elcosh.org ), provides a wide range of materials on construction safety and health. The goal is to improve safety and health for construction workers by making such information more accessible.

Development of eLCOSH is supported through a grant to CPWR - The Center for Construction Research and Training from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, which is part of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. CPWR is the research arm of the Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO, which consists of 15 affiliate unions.

Information is available in English, Spanish, and other languages. The materials include:

•How-to manuals

•Chart books

•Newsletters

•Research reports

•Directories

•Training manuals and overheads

•Data sets

•Bibliographies

•Regulations

•Summaries of CD-ROMs and videos (and where to get them).
